On October 31, 2018, the 2nd China-Israel Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, under the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel, was hosted by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center and Israel Innovation Authority and co-organized by Sino-Israel Technology Innovations, Shanghai Science & Technology Exchange Center and other organizations.

The contest was aimed at three fields including the information communication technology, medical equipment, and intelligent manufacture, and had on-site roadshow scorings for 60 projects in over 250 projects selected from the preliminary round

The semifinals for fields were respectively held in Shenzhen on December 13, Shanghai on December 14 and Changzhou on December 17, 2018. The final was held in Beijing on December 18, 2018. The top three winners in each field were finalists in the finals.

Meanwhile, a number of online and offline roadshow connection events will be held to create opportunities for participating teams to interact with key investors and potential partners.

As the highlight of the contest, preferential investment funds specially designed for China-Israel Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, aims to further deepen the innovation cooperation between China and Israel, and to further strengthen the cooperation and platform for China-Israel innovation and cooperation, effectively promote the integration of China and Israel, and serve the innovative cooperation between China and Israel in a better manner.
